STAKEHOLDERS CALL FOR PASSAGE OF PETROLEUM INDUSTRY BILL
Barely four months to the end of the legislative session of the seventh National Assembly, stakeholders in the oil and gas sector as well as commerce have again called on the law makers to write their names in marble by passing the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
Speaking at the First Quarter Roundtable on Nigerian Economy organised by Nigerian NewsDirect newspaper in Lagos at the weekend, these operators said the passage of the reform bill would not only engender investment in the oil and gas sector but also cushion the effects of the plummeting price of crude oil at the international market and the devaluation of the Naira.
