The Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Bassey Akpan, has pledged the support of the committee to the proposed Train 7 expansion project of the Nigerian LNG Limited. Akpan stated this when he led members of the committee on an oversight visit to the NLNG facility in Bonny.
The Nigeria LNG Limited says it has contributed more than $26bn to government revenue in the last five years. The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Tony Attah, disclosed this in Abuja when he met with the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) has warned that any move to tinker with the 2004 Act would violate bilateral agreements with international investors as well as cost the country a whooping $25 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and fines running in billions at the International Courts.
The Board of Directors of Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has announced the appointment of Mr. Tony Attah as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Attah takes over from Mr. Babs Omotowa, who was appointed in December 2011.
