The sudden withdrawal of ConocoPhillips (COP) from the Brass Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) had signaled the end of the project until a last minute resurgence of the will to continue came from other stakeholders. Indeed the atmosphere was that of gloom and hopelessness as the shareholders were expecting the final nail on the coffin of the project.
