OIL WORKERS BEGIN NATIONWIDE WARNING STRIKEWorkers in the nation’s oil and gas industry have concluded plans to commence a nationwide warning strike this Monday to protest against the federal government’s failure to carry out turnaround maintenance on the refineries and reduce the pump prices of petroleum products in line with the slump in global oil price.

The strike by the oil workers under the umbrella of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) is also in protest against delay in the passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
