TOTAL’S OFON EPC CREATES 3,000 JOBS

Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited has said that its Engineering, Procurement and Construction, EPC, contract for its 65,000 barrels per day Ofon 2 oilfield project, undertaken by Nigerdock, created over 3,000 jobs for Nigerians and recorded 3.2 million man-hours without Lost Time Incident, LTI.

S’ARABIA OFFERS MORE OIL TO ASIAN CLIENTS AHEAD OF OPEC MEETING

OPECSaudi Arabia is offering extra crude to customers in Asia, a sign the world’s largest oil exporter does not intend to cut output as it battles for market share with other top producers.

Saudi’s offers of more oil come after it recently completed maintenance programmes that had reduced supplies from some fields during the second quarter, traders said. The kingdom will also soon increase its Arab Extra Light crude output in an expansion of the Shaybah oilfield.

TOTAL FPSO WILL BOOST LOCAL CONTENT DEVT.

refinery1The fabrication of the Floating Production Storage Off-loading, FPSO, for Total E&P Egina oilfield project is estimated to boost local content development up from current levels of 10 percent to about 15 percent.

The Managing Director, Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics, LADOL Base, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, who disclosed this in Lagos, said upon the completion of the facility, other FPSO’s can berth there.

BAYELSA THREATENS TO SANCTION AGIP

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake DicksonBayelsa State Government has threatened to sanction the management of Nigerian Agip Oil Company for the delay in releasing the autopsy reports of the victims of a pipeline explosion which occurred at the oil company’s Azuzuama oilfield.
 
Fourteen persons died in a pipeline explosion which occurred on July 9, 2015 at Agip’s oilfield in Azuzuama, Ijaw-South Local Government Area of Bayelsa.
