The Senate on Wednesday summoned the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to brief it on the state of the nation’s refineries with a view to curtailing the incessant destruction of lives and property as a result of tanker accidents.
The parliament also tasked the federal government to revamp the existing refineries and simultaneously create the enabling environment to make them functional.
